Habitat: At base of steep N-facing slope in NE-SW-trending ravine along unnamed tributary to Prairie Dog Fork Red River. Soil silty to sandy with frequent float of coarse grey sanstones of Triassic Trujillo Formation and occasional calcareous conglomerate boulders of Neogen Ogallala Formation. Mesic juniper woodland.
Associated Species: Atriplex canescens, Berberis trifoliata, Cylindorpuntia leptocaulis, Dalea formosa, Ericameria nauseosa, Forestiera pubescens, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Jujniperus monosperma, Juniperus pinchotii, Mimosa borealis, Opuntia phaeacantha, Prosopis glandulosa, Ptelea trifoliata, Rhus microphylla, Rhus serotina, Yucca glauca, and Ziziphus obtusifolius.
