Habitat: Degraded, dry-mesic upland forest along Kishwaukee River (west side of river). Associates include: Acer negundo, Carex cephalophora, C. gravida, C. grisea, C. jamesii, Carya ovata, Celti occidentalis, Dentaria laciniata, Elymus virginicus, Festuca obtusa, Lonicera x bella, Menispermum canadense, Osmorhiza longistylis, Podophyllum peltatum, Prunus serotina, Pterel trifoliata, Quercus alba, Ranunculus abovritus, R. fascicularis, Smilax hispida, Trillium recurvatum, and Vitis riparia.
