Associates include: Amorpha fruticosa, Salix amygdaloides, Calamogrostis canadensis, Glyceria striata, Carex comosa, Carex hystericina, Carex stipata, Muhlenbergia mexicana, Schoenoplectus pungens, Sparganium eurycarpum, Typha latifolia, Pedicularis lanceolata, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Juncus torreyi, Impatiens capensis, and Ophioglossum pusillum.
