Steep south-facing slope (180?Á) of the Anakeesta Ridge on exposed steep slope below the slate gray rock outcrop. Near drainage way with Betula alleghaniensis, Picea rubens, Prunus pensylvanica, Diervilla sessilifolia, Rododendron catawbiense, Rubus canadensis, Salix sericea, Vaccinium erythrocarpum, Dennstaedtia punctilobula, Carex ruthii, etc. Perennial herb about 1 foot tall.
