Habitat: Moderate south slope. Desert shrub zone, 10% total cover. Dominant shrubs Ephedra torreyana and blue sand sage. Dominant grasses Hilaria jamesii, Oryzopsis humenoides. With Phacelia. Surface rock apparently old stream deposits, phenocrysts from Henry Mts.
