Habitat: In sparsely vegetated gritty soil at angle of repose below maroon rock band; open Pinus edulis - Sabina osteosperma - Fraxinus anomala community; closest associates include Oreocarya flava, Tetraneuris ivesiana, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Lepidium montanum, Mirabilis glandulosa, Asclepias cryptoceras, Hymenopappus filifolius, Aliciella triodon, Chamaesyce fendleri; multi-stemmed with ascending to erect branches; flowers pale pink; occasional.
Substrate: Cutler Formation below Wingate sandstone cliffs
