Locality: United States, Arizona, Coconino, Navajo Flea Market Ethnobotany. Flagsstaff, South on Rt. 89 to Flagstaff, West of Coccinino National Forest Road 417(?), Babbit Family private land. Collected off roadside near our camp.
Habitat: Uses: Entire plant, before it blossoms is used to make a yellow-green dye; greens before flowering good for salad greens, the stem makes a fire drill; and it is a food and medicine in the Night Way ceremony.
