Patterned peatland of strings and flarks. Strings dominated by white cedar (Thuja) and shrubs such as Ilex verticillata and Rhamnus frangula. Flarks dominated by sedges including Carex limosa, C. lasiocarpa, and Rhynchospora alba. Also with Sarracenia purpurea, Triglochin maritima, and Tofieldia glutinosa. Common to abundant in flarks of string bog. Has yellow-orange achenes.
