Habitat: Semi-shaded seep in aspen forest with Symphocarpos understory. Seep contains 8" wide stream about 1 cm deep. Seep dominated by Agrostis exerata and Juncus saximontanus. Soil saturated, brown, gravelly, clayey.
Associated Species: Juncus saximontanus, moss.
Description: Flowers changing green to straw-color. Forms dense stand.
