Habitat:
Disturbed area near old drill hole on open, flat desert pavement in sandy, gravelly soil covered by thin veneer of flat pebbles; common plants include Coleogyne ramosissima, Epehedra torreyana, Eriogonum corymbosum, Townsendia incana, Heterotheca villosa var. hispida, Oreocarya confertifolia, Plantago patagonica; plants forming tight clumps; flowers white to pink; locally common but resticted to crevices, pocket gardens, and flats.
