Locality: U.S.A., Utah, Sevier, King Meadow. Highway 119 to junction of highway 24, turn left. Drive 6 miles going past the covenant gas field. Turn right onto the Sevier co. landfill rd. Go 3 miles south, turn right onto Jeep trail.

Habitat: Sedimentary, sorted volcanic ash and eroded sandstone and colcanic muds. Burned and flooded. Alluvial accumulation, out-wash sandy plain. Slope: 2ΒΌ. Aspect: NE. Ephemeral bog-sandy lakebed. Soil: gray course sand. Ringed by a pinyon/juniper woodland. Pinus edulis, Juniperus osteosperma, Artemisia tridentata, Salsola kali, Helianthus annus, Nicotana amenuata, Cleome lutea, Chenopodium, Hesperostipa comata.
