Cedar-encroached sandstone glade (with some calcareous influence from overlying limestone of Boone Formation).
Growing with Hypericum sphaerocarpum, Rudbeckia missouriensis, Rhynchospora recognita, Linum medium texanum, etc.
Plants rhizomatous, forming a colony.
