Locality: United States, Nevada, Washoe, Approximately 370 m E of Incline Lake Road along Hwy 431
Elevation: 2613 meters (8571ft)
Habitat: open meadow, fairly flat but at base of a steep hill, associated with lupines and near pines
Associated Species: Pinus, Lupinus
Description: Dominant shrub growing in patchy but dense stands, Less than 0.5 m tall; much stronger odor than other Artemisia tridentata plants found at lower elevatios. Flowering stalks ore bent and with longer flower buds than A. tridentata seen at other locations
Reproductive Condition: budding
