Habitat: Full sun; rock outcrop in an open pasture previously grazed by cattle.
Substrate: Dry, silty substrate.
Description: Milkweed with latex sap and seedpod; multiple stems from taproot, stems with very short pubescence, leaves also pubescent on top and bottom; leaves closely bunched, alternate, lanceolate.
