Habitat: Growing on floodplain among cottonwood, sycamore and Bondpland willow along ephemeral drainage in low mountainous organ pipe cactus-tree ocotillo-dominated Sonoran upland desertscrub.
Substrate: Sandy, gravelly soil.
Associated Species: Populus fremontii, Salix bonplandiana, Platanus wrightii, Havardia mexicana, Prosopis velutina.
Description: 2 meter open, erect shrub.
