Habitat: Open gravely/rocky slopes and flats. A localized population of 30 individuals growing in open disturbed area.
Associated Species: Pinus monophylla, Juniperus californica, Yucca brevifolia, Y. schidigera, Coleogyne ramosissima, Purshia tridentata, Prunus fasciculatus, Echinocereus engelmanii, Ericameria linearifolia, Salazaria mexicana, Opuntia basilaris, Sphaeralcea ambigua, Eriogonum saxatile, E. fasciculatum, Stephanomeria pauciflora, etc.
