Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Agrostis gigantea dominated area in wester portion of prairie fen; located about 7m east of small inlet covered in Nuphar varigata. Common species in area include Carex stricta, Eutrochium maculatum, Rosa palustris, and Thelypteris palustris. Ground moist and wet to inundated in places; very hummocky ground.
