Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In south-central portion of prairie fen, 100m north of woodland border, 50m east of shrub-carr, 90m south of large Larix laricina. Area was once a Carex, Asteraceae, and Typha meadow is now encroached by 2m tall Cornus. Ground hummocky and moist.
Population - Abundant underneath Cornus. Many flowering.
