Lake side prairie fen. Mostly Cyperaceae, Cornus, and button bush dominated marl zone with some Asteraceae and Dasiphora fruticosa near the wooded borders. Invaded by Phragmites, Phalaris arundinacea, and Frangula alnus. In northern part of southern section of fen, 5m south of wooded upland border, 200m east of Little Portage Lake and channel between them. Area dominated by Cyperaceae, Thelypteris palustris, and Dasiphora fruticosa. Shrub of Salix, Cornus, or Frangula alnus every 4-9m2. Ground flat and moist.
