Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. West portion of prairie fen; about 30m east of road; Frangula alnus abundant locally; Asteraceae species and Carex species dominate cover; species in area include Dasiphora fruticosa, Solidago altissima, Euthamia graminifolia, Andropogon gerardii, Carex buxbaumii, and Thalictrum dasycarpum; ground moist but not wet
