Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Sedge meadow on edge of shrub encroachment. Dominant species in area include Carex lasiocarpa, C. aquatilis, Agrostis gigantea, Dasiphora fruticosa, Schoenoplectus acutus, and Thelypteris palustris. Ground inundated. Located about 17m northeast of lake.
