Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Sedge prevalent area in Larix laricina/Toxicodendron vernix area. Common sedges include Carex sterilis, C. leptalea, and C. stricta. Other species include Dasiphora fruticosa, Pycnanthemum virginicum, Galium boreale, Maianthemum stellatum, Lathyrus palustris, and Andropogon gerardii.
