Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Inundated flat; very wet due to previous nights storm. Dominated by Carex stricta, C. sartwellii, and Agrostis gigantea. Other species include Eutrochium maculatum, Campanula aparinoides, and Persicaria Amphibia.
