Habitat: Prairie fen runs along Spring Mill Creek. Edges are wooded with oaks. Horribly overgrown with many large areas that were marked as fen, now dense shrub carr. In shrub encroached Carex/Asteraceae meadow. Tussocks 10-20cm tall, ground wet, shrubs are Cornus, Toxicodendron vernix, Spiraea alba. 10m from northern border 50m east of where prairie enters the fen. Western portion of main fen.
Description: Population - Common, dominant in area, 1-2.5m tall. Some with ripening berries.
