Prairie fen runs along Spring Mill Creek. Edges are wooded with oaks. Horribly overgrown with many large areas that were marked as fen, now dense shrub carr. Found in area with many Toxicodendron vernix trees and tamarack with understory of Carex stricta, Typha, Onoclea sensibilis, and Symplocarpus foetidus to quadrat under a tamarack tree. 30m tall infested with mosquitos. Hummocky ground, wet but no pooling
Population - One small sapling in quadrat, only a few larger shrubs seen outside of it, but not many. No fruits or flowers.
