A railroad (currently used andmaintained), runs almost the entire length. Within 20m on either side of the tracks is almost all herbaceous (weedy but diverse). Further from tracks there are many tamarack trees and shrubs including some autumn olive. **moved 6m perpendicular to boardwalk because the original coordinates were half on the boardwalk. 6m to the south of boardwalk, 200m west of railroad. Mostly grasses and Typha area, shrubs 5 m further from boardwalk. Ground wet, but not puddling and covered with last years vegetation.
Population - Dominent vegetation until it meets Carex 2m away from boardwalk. Most flowering, less than 2m tall.
