Habitat: Locally abundant on outwash mesas and roadsides within shortgrass prairie/juniper savannah. Associated species: Atriplex canescens, Yucca glauca, Stipa comata, Bouteloua gracilis.

Notes: Disk flowers yellow. Zone 13 NAD83. USGS quadrangle: Brown Sheep Camp.
