Habitat: Locally comon in partial shade of live oaks on clay soils on valley flat underlain by Creataceous limestone. Associates include Bothriochloa ischaemum, Bromus japonicus, Capsella bursa-pastoris, Chamaesyce prostrata, Cirsium texanum, Medicago minima, Solanum elaegnifolium.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
