Habitat: Occasional in low- to medium-stature shrubland/shortgrass grassland on shallow, calcareous, moderately alkaline, light brownish gray, very gravelly loam (Lozier Series) on valley flat between very gentle slopes of Cretaceous limestone (Washita Group). Shrub dominants include Larrea tridentata and Tiquilia canescens. Other associates include Bouteloua barbata, Chamaesyce lata, Cryptantha mexicana, Ditaxis humilis, Evax prolifera, Krameria sp., Lesquerella fendleri, Melampodium leucanthum, Psilostrophe tagetina, Scleropogon brevifolius, Tiquilia hispidissima, and Zinnia acerosa.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
