Habitat: Sandy slopes below seep face on rim and south side of sandy wash. Community of Amelanchier, Fraxinus velutina, Bacharis, Pluchea sericea, and Vitis arizonica
Associated Species: Muhlenbergia, Epipactis gigantea, Centaurea melitensis, Ericameria nauseosa, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Gaura coccinea, Sonchus
Description: Three plants in bud, ca 50 vegetative on slopes and rim. Root fleshy, goes straight down at least 10 inches in loose sand before breaking.
