Damaged marsh. Soil Characteristics: Handsboro Association (Ha) - very poorly drained, well decomposed, organic soil on broad, wet, grassy flats along the coast, adjoining salt water or brackish water at elevations less than two feet. Associate plant species: Batis maritima, Rumex obovatus, Oenothera humifusa, Setaria parviflora, Typha domingensis, Cyperus odoratus. Uncommon; specimen collected was a pistillate plant.
