Gravely clay loam light gray to white. Desert grassland/pine-juniper woods. Scattered. Short lived perennial [2-3(4) years] herb. Leaves linear to spathulate with short hairs and many long stinging hairs. The long hairs pusticulate (cystolithic!). Stems and calyx similar to leaves in hairiness. Petals white, the corolla tube greatly exceeding the calyx. Inflorescence hairy but green.
