Plant height 4.5 feet; stems gray-green with some maroon on areoles; spines white with golden tips; flowers collected late morning to mid-day, additional flowers collected later in April and early May 2012 and April 2013, diameter 33-50 mm, length 51-61 mm, outer perianth magenta with greenish-magenta mid-stripe, inner perianth magenta with yellow-green at base; stigma lobe number 7-8, cream; style magenta with white at base; filaments magenta; fruits dry, brown, diameter 15 mm, length 27-28 mm, one sterile; seeds tan.
