Taxon: Scorzonera laciniata L.
Family: Asteraceae
Determiner: Robert Weiss (confirmed by Barkworth0 (2014-06-03)
Collector: Jody Gale   s.n.
Date: 2014-06-05
Locality: USA, Utah, Millard, Intersection of Interstates 70 and 15, at Sulfurdale exit, in Cove Fort vicinity [gps readings will be sent]
Habitat: Disturbed area at intersection. Also at wash station - see notes
Reproductive Condition: Flowering & Fruiting
Notes: Gale: I found probably at least 1,000 acres. Due to the size and geographic area of infestation, it has likely been there for some time and has not been brought here by the EC project. I spoke with the son of an alfalfa grower at Sulphurdale and He is think he has seen it for at least 2-3years. The area straddles Millard and Beaver Counties and is just west of the Sevier County border, based on my limited survey. It includes road sides, irrigated pastures, alfalfa fields and dry upland sites.
