Scrambling under juniper in red gritty clay, on bench at base of steep slope; well developed Sabina osteosperma - Pinus edulis - Fraxinus anomalus community with associated shrubs Rhus trilobata, Symphoricarpos longiflorus Purshia stansburiana and Galium colöradense Stanleya pinnata, Stenotus ameriodes, Petradoria pumila, Achnantherum hymenoides, Anisantha tectorum, Gutierrezia microcephala; Lomatium grayi; stems prostrate; no flowers or fruit; occasional locally.
