Locality: USA, Colorado, Larimer, East of Windsor. In the visitor's area of a fenced dog training arena. Directions: From I-25, exit 259. Drive 2.1 mi E on Crossroad Blvd., turn left on Haystack. drive 500 ft., turn left on Longs Peak Circle. Stop at 4th house on left, walk to back of house and dog park.

Habitat: Fenced dog training arena, denuded completely of grasses by trampling, but covered by a monoculture of this species.

Description: Monoculture of this species. Plants prostrate, the numerous stems radiating out of a taproot that decays at the end of the season.

Life Stage: Fruit.
Notes: Evidently native in western U.S. but obviously a tolerated weed here.
