Locality: USA, Arizona, Pima, Las Cienegas National Conservation Area; at the northern end of the site, on the southern bank of Mattie Canyon, about 3.4 km east from the main channel Cienega Creek, about 100m east of exposed alluvium hillside

Elevation: 1341 meters (4398ft)
Habitat: Growing on grassy terrace among semi-chaparral scrub with Juniper arizonica and Rhus virens dominant at the base of the slope, terrace is about 30ft wide and 150ft long, and sits at the base of a large alluvial headcut.
Associated Species: Mentzelia asperula, Ageratina wrightii, Ipomopsis thurberi, Agave palmeri, Mentzelia pumila, Aloysia wrightii, Brickellia floribunda, Panicum antidotale, Ambrosia psilostachya, Isocoma tenuisecta, Juniperus coahuilensis
