Ecotonia between dry Quercus forest (with a Cycadaceae), sub-deciduous tropical forest with Bursera, Cecropia, and Costus, and mesophilic montane forest with Chusquea and Chamaedorea.
Three plants grown from bulbils collect alive, one flowering 6 years later (flrs. pressed & pickled 8 Feb 1991 from greenhouse.)
