Habitat: Pinyon-oak woodland.
Associated Species: Pinus discolor, Quercus arizonica, Cercocarpus breviflorus, Heliopsis parvifolia, Garrya wrightii, Ceanothus fendleri, Salvia lemmonii, Sedum cockerellii, Valeriana sorbifolia, Artemisia dracunculus, Artemisia ludoviciana, Heliomeris multiflora, Bouteloua curtipendula, Eragrostis intermedia, Elymus elymoides.
Description: Annual, 50 cm; culms geniculate and branching; awns equal or subequal. Large patch along margin of well-traveled road.
Notes: Duplicates to ARIZ, ASU, NMCR.
