Suwanee River: Just W of Branford off of US Hwy. 27 under the Suwanee River bridge; floodplain in sandy soils; assoc. w/ Acer negundo, Sideroxylon reclinatum, Liquidambar styraciflua, Morus rubra, Quercus nigra, Forestiera acuminata, Amorpha fruticosa, Panicum virgatum, Smilax bona-nox, Trachelospermum difforme, Vitis rotundifolia, Verbena halei, Campsis radicans; flowers blue; herb to 50 cm tall; cespitose (numerous stems arising from the rootstock). Lat. 29° 57' 17''N Long. 82° 55' 49.5''W Datum: WGS84.
