Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Phalaris arundinacea monoculture on stream edge; about 15m south of Acer rubrum trees and about 10m east of one Acer rubrum; atbou1m from stream edge; other species in area include Agrostis fifantea and Cornus foemina. Large seep about 10m to the south; ground moist but not inundated.
