Lake side prairie fen. Mostly Cyperaceae, Cornus, and button bush dominated marl zone with some Asteraceae and Dasiphora fruticosa near the wooded borders. Invaded by Phragmites, Phalaris arundinacea, and Frangula alnus. In southern area of northern section of fen near the channel, 20m north of southern border, 30m east of Little Portage Lake. Typha and Cyperaceae dominated area with Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Cornus, and Salix shrubs common and dense in areas. Ground flat with standing water, water is tannin/iron colored.
