Very long heterogenous fen with marked spots of high diversity and other large weedy zones. Fen elevated on norther and southern margins and depressed near central lakes (2). Bordered on north by woodland as well as on southern edge, but southern edge has a railroad and nearby row-crop agriculture. Typhaspp. appear to be heavily impacting fen. High quality, diverse area in large pocket surrounded by woodland. Quadrat about 50m south of powerlines. Many prairie fen indicator species: Dasiphora fruticosa, Pycnanthemum virginicum, Solidago ohioensis, and S. riddellii; other species include Carex sterilis, C. flava, Schoenoplectus pungens, Doellingeria umbellata, Cirsium muticum, Bromus ciliatus, Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, and Lysimachia quadriflora. Ground moist and hummocky.
