Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Dasiphora fruticosa also common in area; other species include Carex stricta, Asclepias incarnata, Thelypteris palustris, Pycnanthemum virginicum and Muhlenbergia glomerata. Ground moist but no inundated.
