Lakeside prairie fen around Braxee Lake and smaller Little Braxee Lake to the east. Sedge and Dasiphora fruticosa dominant with Salix, Cornus, and Toxicodendron vernix shrubs. Dense stands of Typha with moderately deep water separate fen on north side of Braxee Lake. Heron rookeries (old bog and current rookery) border the north side of fen. Invaded with Typha angustifolia, Phalaris arundinacea, Phragmites australis, and Lythrum salicaria. In portion of prairie fen north of Braxee Lake (80m), 100m west of Typha channel, 80m southeast of 15m Sycamore tree, 250m southwest of old heron rookery/bog. Area dominated by Cyperaceae with some Typha, Dasiphora fruticosa, and Lythrum salicaria. Ground somewhat hummocky with standing water.
Population - Common, 7-15 per 1m2 for 20m2. Seen on wet soil with Carex, Eleocharis, and Typha.
