Fen on county and private land and managed by The Nature Conservancy. Grand River travels through center of fen (4m wide). Near river area dominated by Cyperaceae, Typha, and Dasiphora fruticosa; shrubs of Rubus and Cornus near woodland upland edges. In northeastern most portion of prairie fen, 60cm south of northern border, 2m west of Grand River, 60m east of wet woods. Area dominated by Carex with some Solidago, Eupatorium perfoliatum, and Eutrochium maculatum. Ground wet with standing water. Lythrum salicaria has invaded but not yet dominant.
Population - Common, but less than 1.5m tall, many with fruiting heads, more dense near river.
