Habitat: Riparian corridor through oak & mesquite grassland.
Associated Species: Fraxinus velutina, Juniperus deppeana, Populus fremontii, Quercus arizonica, Salix gooddingii, Prosopis velutina, Garrya wrightii, Cylindropuntia spinosior, Opuntia santa-rita, Bouvardia ternifolia, Rhus virens, Rhus aromatica, Baccharis salicifolia, Baccharis sarothroides, Fouquieria splendens, Agave palmeri, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Elymus elymoides.
Description: Shrub, 85 cm; leaves 11–12 cm long; inflorescences ball-shaped, flowers cream.
