Permian Cutler Form; On cattle hammered flats above minor drainage in sand-silty soil; abundant associates include Coleogyne ramosissimum, Astragalus nuttalianus var. micranthiformis and scattered Sabina osteosperma, Spaeralcea parviflora, Dasyochloa pulchella, Chaenactis stevioides, Ephedra torreyana, Platago patagonica, Phacelia crenulata; common.

annual, stunted and inconspicuous due to dry conditions; petals tiny, white; plants mostly in fruit; NAD27 7.5' Gateway quad.
