Habitat: On open outwash below maroon colored sandstone cliff face pouroff, in thin gritty gravelly soil over bedrock; associates include Delphinium scaposum, Anisantha tectorum, Eriogonum inflatum, Lappula redowskii, Erodium cicutarium, Astragalus nuttallianus...; relatively common locally but not seen elsewhere. Permian Cutler Form.
Reproductive Condition: Flr
Notes: Plants bluish-green; flowers golden yellow with maroon eye; 7.5' Gateway quad, NAD27.
