In sparse herbaceous vegetation on flood-scoured limestone bedrock exposed a foot or so about normal river level. Associates included Acacia rigidula, Bothriochloa ischaemum, Bouteloua curtipendula, Clematis drummondii, Cynodon dactylon, Diospyros texana, Eragrostis lehmanniana, Gymnosperma glutinosum, Indigofera lindheimeriana, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Leptochloa dubia, Linum rupestre, Palafoxia callosa, Porophyllum scoparium, Thelesperma simplicifolium.
